I visited New York City Manhattan again in July 2021 , it was a little different before covid was with us. PCR covid tests are so much important sadly. Mostly travellers are not in the city , still need to open up for tourism. But the city is also very very alive, shops stores parks all running like nothing happened. Some big stores like Century 21 , are closed. And some of the franchices closed some locations but hopefully they may come back.
I used metro in Manhattan and lots of walking while getting around so if you are carefull and masked, its not a big deal.
